Overview.

Siem Reap, Cambodia's second-largest city, features the Royal Residence of Prince Sihanouk at its heart and preserves numerous historical structures from the French colonial era and Chinese architectural styles around the Old French Quarter and Old Market. The city is rich in cultural offerings, including museums, traditional Apsara dance shows, the Cambodian Cultural Village, numerous shops selling souvenirs and handicrafts, silk farms, picturesque rice fields, fishing villages, and a bird sanctuary near Tonle Sap.
